ADM participated in the recent STA show in San Francisco which benefits the local charity North Beach Citizens created by famous Director Francis Ford Coppola in 2001.
On display were works by Papermonster and Austin David Myers.
We look forward to the next show in the second half of 2010.
April 17, 6-9 pm, reception includes: beverages, auction and sales of skateboard art, raffles , and five short documentaries: premieres of “Girls on Girls” (new doc on women punk music pioneers of late ’70’s – early ’80’s SF music scene) by Patrick O’Neil and “Skate this Art – Make This Art” by Geo Epsilanty; the return of “Hit the Decks” by Caleb Gatlin and “YAA Girlz and the Deadly Sparks” by Patrick O’Neil (doc about all female skate-punk clubs of SF in early ’80’s), and “DIY” by Chris Silva.
The audience was there to bid on decks and donate to support the local charity, Roaddawgz:
They provide a youth drop-in center in the heart of the Tenderloin. I met the Director of Roaddawgz, Machiko Saito, and look forward to collaborating on joint philanthropic projects through the 5% Fund in the near future.
I met a lot of people at the event who support the mission of ADM and our mission to produce unique artwork on skate decks, while supporting related causes and charities. Something that really struck me while I made my way through the crowd was the community feel. everyone seemed to have a childhood relationship with the film maker, artist and/or skateboarder. It felt like one big family.
As an organization, ADM will look to attend more of the charitable art shows in the months ahead. So, if you have a show, please reach out and let us know what we can do to support it.

If you think you have the sickest unseen skate footage around send in your video to ADM skateboards for the opportunity to win one of three deck packages and a chance to join the ADM Amateur Skate Team. The three top videos will get to start the new year riding a brand new ADM deck!
