The place was packed full of inspiring and unique expressions of art all on a deck canvas.

The audience was there to bid on decks and donate to support the local charity, Roaddawgz:

They provide a youth drop-in center in the heart of the Tenderloin. I met the Director of Roaddawgz, Machiko Saito, and look forward to collaborating on joint philanthropic projects through the 5% Fund in the near future.

I met a lot of people at the event who support the mission of ADM and our mission to produce unique artwork on skate decks, while supporting related causes and charities. Something that really struck me while I made my way through the crowd was the community feel. everyone seemed to have a childhood relationship with the film maker, artist and/or skateboarder. It felt like one big family.

As an organization, ADM will look to attend more of the charitable art shows in the months ahead. So, if you have a show, please reach out and let us know what we can do to support it.

This is extremely exciting as it is helping us reach our goal of raising $100,000 by the end of 2009. A goal that is not going to be reached without your help. With each donation we are able to help out the community and local skateparks such the Charles River Skatepark in Massachusetts and the Washington Street Skatepark in San Diego.
